The new Apes films have only received nods for visual effects, despite their growing level of prestige and critical acclaim. It’s still a travesty that Andy Serkis’ revelatory mo-cap performances as Caesar in both Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes have achieved little to recognition in awards circles....
