More Female Directors
Marvel has a bad track record with female directors. No currently released Marvel movie had a woman in the director’s chair (Thor: The Dark World came close, with Patty Jenkins originally lined-up to helm before departing). The first official female MCU director will be Anna Boden, who is co-directing Captain Marvel with Ryan Fleck. Feige said he wants to improve that. “I cannot promise that all 20 Marvel movies will have female directors but a heck of a lot of them will,” he told the conference. Feige went on to say that “agencies are sending more female directors than men for Marvel directing jobs.”
Different Incarnations of Characters You Know
If certain Marvel characters are destined for permanent death (as many speculate they are following Infinity War, and the upcoming Avengers 4), that doesn’t mean it will be the last we see of them. Feige didn’t provide specifics (that would be a spoiler, folks), but he did suggest that we can expect to see “different incarnations of characters we know.” In other words, if Chris Evans’ Captain America happens to die at the end of Avengers 4, we can expect some other character (Bucky, perhaps?) to take up Cap’s shield and monicker.

Ms. Marvel
“We’re doing Captain Marvel right now. Captain Marvel’s shooting right now with Brie Larson. Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort-of in the works. We have plans for that once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world.”
