2018 Emmy Winners: ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ And ‘Game Of Thrones’ Lead Wins, Netflix Makes Major Gains

The 2018 Emmy winners were updated live during the ceremony. Winners appear in bold.

On the dramatic side, Game of Thrones scored the Drama Series and Lead Actor categories, while the rest of the trophies were divided among The Americans and The Crown — two shows which saw respective ends of their eras. The Americans, which earned a writing award and an acting win for Matthew Rhys, wrapped up its six-season run this year, while The Crown won directing and acting for lead Claire Foy, who leaves with the original cast as the show leaps through time.

But the biggest surprise winner was Netflix, whose series Seven Seconds earned an award with Regina King’s lead actress in a limited series win, as well as its female-led Western series Godless, which collected two acting awards.
